In our modern world, the concept of aging often gets a bad rap. Which, when I think about it, is pretty odd—since not everyone is lucky enough to be able to do it.

In this week’s episode of the Farmish Kind of Life Podcast (295) I’m talking about the messages that tell us to fight our aging, hide our aging, and do everything we can to look, feel, and act younger. We will also dig into the relatively modern concept of heading to the doctor with every new creak, pop, and ouch brought on by aging (because something is obviously horribly wrong!)

This episode also asks some tough questions. For instance, are we maintaining health… or chasing youth? (Main topic starts at time stamp 8:07)

The privilege of aging is a gift not granted to everyone. Let’s shift our focus from chasing youth to celebrating everything your body can still do, while acknowledging that what we can do today may not be possible tomorrow. Because, my friends, we’re all getting older.

…if we’re lucky.
